Tada Gymnastics Studio

Wow, what a fun project to introduce to our readers! Erin McDonald is the founder of Ta Da Gymnastics, a gymnastics studio that offers the highest quality preschool, recreational gymnastics, tumbling, and dance classes in Colorado. While Ta Da Gymnastics already had a beautiful custom logo, they needed their website to match their aesthetic and brand. Their old website was a bit dated and not as user-friendly as Erin would have liked, so she reached out to us for a complete website redo. Needless to say, we were ready to somersault into this exciting challenge so that Ta Da Gymnastics could continue their path to success.

THE JOURNEY: OUR PROCESS

Before beginning the website build, our gifted team of photographers took a field trip to the Ta Da Gymnastics Denver studio and captured incredible pictures of the kids and instructors in action. During the photoshoot, we were able to witness and shoot several different classes, providing amazing photos to be used on the new website. Of course, the kids had such a great time and were happy to show off their tumbling, cheer, and dance skills in front of the cameras.

For the website design, we wanted it to be interactive, playful, and informational. To maximize our ability for full customization, we initially created the custom website design in Figma, then developed it in Webflow. We drew most inspiration for the website design from the Ta Da logo and overall vibe of their stunning gymnastics studio.

Going off of the logo, we sprinkled custom-developed circles throughout each page that move, shift, and can be interacted with using the cursor. We also applied the bright, energetic colors from their logo across the entire website. Instead of displaying the menu items in the traditional way (from right to left at the top of the page), we followed an up-and-coming design trend by including all the menu items in a "hamburger menu". When a site visitor clicks on the three lines at the top right of the page, it creates a full-width slide out that presents all the menu items using an extraordinary and modern method. Fun fact for the day: this is what we refer to in the industry as a "hamburger menu with full-width slide out on interaction".

Finally, the pictures we took played an integral role in the website design setup. We thought it so critical that the site shows the kids smiling and enjoying themselves. For parents or guardians looking to sign their young’uns up for the classes, it is essential to have it boldly displayed that Ta Da Gymnastics is a safe space for children to learn new skills, gain confidence, challenge their abilities, but most importantly, have a blast.

For the website functionalities, we filmed and edited a catchy and cute promotional video and designed customized pages showcasing classes, schedules, gymnastics plans, camps, and events in a way that avoids overwhelming the viewers. Additionally, we incorporated a parent portal, a consultation booking tool, Google maps displaying their Denver and Englewood locations, and a testimonials slider - a crucial component for gaining the trust of parents and guardians who entrust Ta Da with their children.
